Edward Christopher Sheeran was born February 17, 1991 in Halifax, England. Despite his birthplace, Edward had Irish roots. Both of his paternal grandparents were from Ireland. Edward spent the majority of his life in Framlingham, England, located in Suffolk County.
From the age of four, Ed Sheeran knew deep in his soul that music was his path. He currently is a singer/song writer who primarily performs the following genres: pop, R&B, folk, hip-hop, and acoustic. While in high school, Ed began to discover some of his favorite artists: Van Morrison, Damien Rice (folk/folk rock singer), The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Nizlopi (folk/hip-hop musician).
